Finding our ancestry in or genes all comes down to the base pairs.
Which of these base pairs are passed to us from our mother and father, and which pairs they received from their ancestors.

Sunday 10/6/13

I want to welcome all to the new DNA interest group at OCCGS!
Yesterday (10/5/13) we had a very great turnout, and I want to thank those that gave me positive comments.
I have found the OCCGS to be a very exciting group of genealogists, and just an amazing local resource!
I am so proud to contribute what I can to you all.

So in an effort to be a more focused group, be more interactive, and develop a great ongoing online resource for us all locally, I am opening up this blog today.

I will post updates to our group activities, and I hope post materials that we cover at our meetings.
You should feel welcome to post your thoughts and questions to the group here as well, and share what you find of interest!

Researching our ancestors through the DNA they passed to us is often very complex, but it is nothing but extremely interesting and rewarding in it's own ways.
I wish all of us taking this path find the rewards we are striving for.
